Game Table Adventures

This week will see Avacyn Restored hit the shelves for the Magic players, Necrons new wave of releases on the 40k side, Empire getting a new battalion in Fantasy and….. New to the store is Warlord Games, bringing with it Boltaction, Blackpowder, Pike and shot and more!

All and all the year has been good and May started off big with 18 players showing up to Month 5 IG event! The momentum will continue to roll with Warmahordes this sunday. Next week Warhammer Fantasy, followed then by Warhammer 40k combat patrol and Flames of War. Wrapping up the month with Origins!

Speaking of Origins, make sure to going us at Origins stop by and see our booth #941 and for you 40k players come join me on Saturday for our first hosting of the Origins 40k RTT!

You got it magic fans! Type II constructed this friday followed by Midnight release for Avacyn Restored!

Midnight will see a a draft with everyone having the ability to dual during the weekend, and noon Saturday will be the Helavault event!

We will see the Galactic Guardians release for Heroclix and Blood, Guts, and Glory for Flames of War. Both will be arriving in the morning and ready for all you eager gamers tomorrow!

So I just found out that GW has taken Ard boyz off the schedule. They have stated that it took away from the hobby, and promoted a play style that they didn’t want. Ard boyz wasn’t suppose to be a way of the future it was suppose to be a tournament for power play.

With that said they have struck it from the roster and are now working on a new tournament system. A throw back from the golden years of GTs these events will always encompass painting, sportsmanship and the overall game in the score.

I’m excited to see that the system is coming back.

This weekend was a busy weekend for us and for our gamers!

Thomas Lynn represented the store at the state level pokemon competition going 5-2, Gratz sir.

Sean Kerns won the VTES tournament held Sunday. (Sheldan anyone?)

Many of our Flames of War guys are returning from Cold Wars in PA and we are waiting to hear how they did there.

Lastly the painting competition ended and the Votes were tallied. The top 3 places in order.

Congratz to you all, and thanks to everyone that took place in the event. You may come pick up your models whenever you have the time.
